Making a difference...One Starfish at a time
Our family started fostering back in 2005. We have been blessed to love on many babies. There has been many twists and turns throughout our journey and in December of 2010 we were called for placement of a newborn baby boy. His biological mother worked a case plan for 18 months and after 23 months she surrendered her rights and we adopted 'Sprout' in December of 2012. Our faith has been tried and tested and we are still certain that God is faithful!

Took Sprout to the Dr on a whim today. I had spoken to the agency worker about him falling so much and expressed my concern that maybe he needed to follow up with a specialist (ENT or eye Dr). The agency worker left a message yesterday on my cell stating that he and bio mom both would like to know what was going on with Sprout and to make sure I let him know about the appointment. I got Sprout into the pediatrician's office today and the agency worker called bio mom TWICE and left messages about his appointment. The appointment was made for this afternoon and only the agency worker showed up. Good thing is that there is nothing visibly wrong with Sprout's eyes or ears. Even at 15 months he is a bit clumsy (moms of boys holler if this is normal...) and seems to fall down ALOT. With or without toys in hand. Shoes or barefoot or with socks with treads. The Dr said to give him another few months. It should get better.

Britton just turned two and still does this. I tease that he can't take more than 6 steps before falling. I too have been concerned at times but I assume he will eventually get past it?!
