Making a difference...One Starfish at a time

Our family started fostering back in 2005. We have been blessed to love on many babies. There has been many twists and turns throughout our journey and in December of 2010 we were called for placement of a newborn baby boy. His biological mother worked a case plan for 18 months and after 23 months she surrendered her rights and we adopted 'Sprout' in December of 2012. Our faith has been tried and tested and we are still certain that God is faithful!

Guess who is 13 months old!?!?!  Where did the time go???

In between court and stress my sweet boy turned 13 whole months old.  He is an amazing boy...and SO smart!!!  He is growing SO fast... 

*  He can now sleep through the night in his crib (in his OWN room)!!!
*  Walk (and run) :)
*  Eat most table foods and LOVES everything.  He's had lobster, scallops and even asparagus.
*  He is still in size 4 diaper and now in 12-18 month pants and shirts (some 18-24 shirts)
*  Can sign 'more', 'eat', 'bath' & 'please'.
*  Sprout can nod his head 'yes' (but it's usually with his WHOLE body!)
*  He can tell you what the puppy says, what sound a dinosaur makes and 'moo' and 'meow' like a cow and cat. 
*  He knows how to sing 'If you're happy and you know it' and LOVES Barney songs (yes! we are a Barney loving house!) 
*  He still takes a bottle and the Dr recently put him back on Nutram1gen for the next 2 months. 
*  This boy is still a mama snugglin', paci lovin' boy. 

He knows he is loved!!
