Was told by the county worker that D$$ will NOT file for TPR* while bio dad is in pri$on. His earliest release date is early next year. Sprout will be in care 27 months at that time. Keep in mind that bio dad could have been out over a year ago but he got into trouble and they added time to his sentence. I am just a bit frustrated they are not being more proactive in making a permanency plan for Sprout. Even though we are listed as foster/adoptive parents there is no mention of concurrent planning.

Seriously? Dad is in prison and that's the reason they aren't filing? How on earth is that in his best interest?

Do you think this warrants a call to the county worker's supervisor or the supervisor's supervisor? With Sprout being so young states usually want a permanency plan sooner rather than later. At least our state says they prefer that. Does Sprout have a CASA or GAL? I can't remember. Maybe they can start pushing for permanency. I will be praying for your family.
I think it might be a good time to contact the GAL or CASA in the case. My CASA told me I am allowed to contact him about anything that concerns me in this case. He then advocates for what he thinks is best given the information he gets from all places, so maybe that would be a good step to take.
