Making a difference...One Starfish at a time

Our family started fostering back in 2005. We have been blessed to love on many babies. There has been many twists and turns throughout our journey and in December of 2010 we were called for placement of a newborn baby boy. His biological mother worked a case plan for 18 months and after 23 months she surrendered her rights and we adopted 'Sprout' in December of 2012. Our faith has been tried and tested and we are still certain that God is faithful!

Nothing new to report with Sprout's case.  His bio mom has been more consistent with visits but I am not worried about what will happen in court because the agency worker has told he that she doesn't retain what she is told.  He can tell there is no true bond with her and he said that Sprout is very quiet at her home.  That is NOT 'MY' boy.  He is so amazing.  He 'sings' and stands for a few seconds at a time.  He LOVES to cuddle with me and LOVES his {foster} 'daddy'.  Our family has embraced him as our own and we can't wait until it's official.  I am aware that we are not even supposed to be talking about adoption at this point but I am confident that's the way we are heading.  We are SO blessed to be able to celebrate all his 'firsts' with him and there is not a moment with him that I take for granted.  I look at him and pray that THIS is the boy we've waiting for   :*)
